The new General Manager of the InterContinental Chicago is Edward Andrews. Ed has over 24 years of experience in five star properties in the US, Europe and Africa with 13 of those as General Manager. Ed joined the InterContinental Hotels Group in 1983 at the InterContinental Houston as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and then moved to assist with the opening of The Willard in 1986. After four years away from the company, Ed returned in 1992 as Manager of the InterContinental Paris and later moved into a General Manager role at the Castellana InterContinental Madrid. Ed has been involved in major renovations of many properties such as the historic InterContinental Paris.

Ed most recently was the General Manager of the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City and before that was the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Belgrade, Serbia.
