Mr. West advises clients in connection with domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on private equity investment transactions and inbound and outbound investments between the United States and the United Kingdom.

Representative Clients, Cases or Matters:

• Represented Macquarie Capital Group on the acquisition of Microstar Logistics, Inc, a keg management and reverse logistics provider.

• Represented MAHLE GmbH on the acquisitions of Dana Corporations’ global engine hard parts business.

• Represented Abbott Laboratories on its agreement with AstraZeneca to develop a combination pharmaceutical product to treat cholesterol.

• Represented Tupperware Corporation on the acquisition from Sara Lee Corporation of its direct selling consumer products business.

• Represented MIVA, Inc. on its merger with the internet search engine company Espotting Media, Inc.

• Represented the UK public company Management Consulting Group PLC on the acquisitions of the US financial management consultancies Parson Consulting and Kurt Salmon Associates.

• Represented Alberto-Culver Company on the divestment of its Indola professional hair care products business to Henkel KGaA.

• Represented One Equity Partners LLC on the leveraged buy-out of the LBC Group from Fimalac, and on the subsequent divestment of the LBC Group.

• Represented Sony Corporation on its mobile telephone handsets joint venture with LM Ericsson AB.
