Mr. Caisman oversees compliance with professional practice matters for KPMG’s International Corporate Services and International Executive Services practices. He is also responsible for contract management, evaluating new clients, training and monitoring licensing compliance for the Firm’s Midwest based professionals.
Prior to retiring as a Partner in 2004, Mr. Caisman was Tax Partner in the Chicago International Corporate Services practice, where he advised a diverse group of U.S. and foreign based multinational companies on international tax issues and planning opportunities, including establishing operation and joint ventures in overseas markets, cross border mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, foreign tax credit planning, transfer pricing and international executives. He coordinated the world-wide tax planning and delivery of services to multinational clients in the Information, Communication and Entertainment and Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution lines of business. Mr. Caisman also served, twice, as the Midwest Partner in Charge of International Corporate Services.
Mr. Caisman traveled extensively throughout the world to meet with clients and KPMG engagement teams. He has spoken before several groups on International Tax and Risk Management matters and has been named by International Tax Review Magazine as one of the leading tax advisors in the United States.
Mr. Caisman was born and raised in Chicago and is a lifetime resident of Illinois. He graduated from DePaul University, in Chicago with a BS degree in Commerce and a JD degree in Law. He is a member of the Board of Directors and President and Treasurer of the British American Business Council, Chicago, a Board member and Treasurer of the British American Business Council, a Director and Treasurer of the U.S. Marketing Scholars Fund.
Mr. Caisman is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Caisman resides in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife and two children.
