Director of Corporate Communications, Boeing
Charles Bickers is Director of Corporate Communications at Boeing, based in the corporate offices in Chicago since February 2009.
Bickers joined Boeing in Seattle in 2004 where he helped launch communications and marketing for Boeing’s services business for the new 787 Dreamliner program.
Prior to moving to Chicago, Bickers was Director of Communications for Environment, Health and Safety, supporting Boeing’s drive to embed environmental strategy into its products, services and operations. Bickers led the team that developed and launched the company’s first comprehensive online Environmental Report and internal campaigns on environmental improvement and workplace safety.
Prior to joining Boeing, Bickers was a business, technology and defense journalist based in London, Hong Kong and Japan for Bloomberg News, Dow Jones’s Far Eastern Economic Review and Jane’s Defence Weekly.
A Political Science graduate of Queen Mary College, University of London, Bickers also gained an Executive MBA at Temple University’s graduate campus in Tokyo.
Bickers is married to Amy and has two young sons. He is a soccer player, cross-country skier and is looking forward to discovering Chicago.
